The SpiritPulse is a next generation spiritual assessment that combines a brief user-friendly survey for participants with actionable results for program administrators. Instead of using long scales with likert-scale items, we ask participants how they are doing in a certain domain, and then which areas of that domain that are going well or not so well.
Our algorithms then compute a score for each area that factors in both spiritual health and relevance. The results for each domain are portrayed in an intuitive four-quadrant graph showing how each area scored on the two dimensions of spiritual health (X-axis) and relevance (Y-axis). By identifying the quadrant in which an area is located, you get a high-level score that provides a clear road map for program improvement.
Areas in the top-left quadrant are labeled "Prioritize" because students as a whole are indicating that these areas are highly relevant and also relatively unhealthy. Areas in the top-right quadrant are labeled “Celebrate” as they are both highly relevant and spiritually healthy. The bottom-right quadrant, “Maintain,” displays areas that are healthy but not as relevant to students. These areas need to be maintained and even leveraged as opportunities. Areas in the bottom-left quadrant are labeled “Review” as they are relatively unhealthy but not as relevant to students. With the clarity of these results, you'll be able to take immediate action on the results.
